五层宅

五层宅基地原本是北京顺义开发商统一建造的联拼商品别墅区中的一套，与小区中大多数别墅有着相近的户型：垂直向的楼梯间包裹电梯位于中间位置，将南北两侧分隔为正交的独立空间，相同的平面叠摞5层，是较为典型的联拼别墅户型。 设计最初的意图是打破原本围绕楼梯间展开的逐层重复的单调空间，将仅仅满足功能需求的垂直螺旋分解为形式多样、在整栋住宅中上下游走的流线，通过一组独立又相互联通的楼梯重新定义进入每一层空间的方式。拆除原本围绕楼梯间的剪力墙后，出于结构需求加粗的原有结构柱贯穿各层，外部包裹的绿色大理石进一步强化了这一结构元素的视觉张力。

W5 house     

The five-story plot was originally one unit within a developer-built row of attached villas in Shunyi, Beijing. Like most of the villas in the compound, it shared a similar layout: a vertically arranged stair core enclosing an elevator at the center, dividing the north and south sides into orthogonal, independent spaces. The identical floor plan is stacked across all five levels, forming a fairly typical townhouse typology. The initial design intent was to break the monotony of repetitive, floor-by-floor spaces organized around the central stair core. Instead of a purely functional vertical circulation, the design decomposes it into a series of diverse, interwoven paths that move up and down throughout the entire house. A set of independent yet interconnected staircases redefines how each level is accessed. After removing the original shear walls around the stair core, the existing structural columns—thickened to meet structural requirements—run continuously through all floors. Clad in green marble, these columns further emphasize their visual presence.
