借山院

十渡借山小院是我们对于北方山居生活的想象与实践。 小院是从一个镶嵌于半山腰的农房蜕变而生。拆除原来院落的高墙，让一个开阔的混凝土平台探出来，好似将远山“拥入”怀中。在建筑的周围，扩展、生长出尺度高低不一、层次丰富的五个院落，相互穿插咬合。人工与自然充分结合，每个院内都能借到不同的山景。 改造过程中，为原有砖房赋予了全新的外立面和质感。就地取材，从后山开采石材，并请当地的石匠采用传统石砌工艺，仅在砌筑过程中控制了石材拼缝宽度，大小，平整度等变量。

Mountain Dwelling     

Located within the 13th crossing of the “Ten Crossing” scenic area in Fangshan, Beijing, the project grew and evolved from a farmer’s house, perched at the very top of the village and half-nested in the hillside. To its front, the site faces Juma River, which meanders through the valley, and to its back, steep hills stretch on and on into the Taihang mountains. The old agricultural estate envelopes itself with a tall robust stone wall, inside which sit three separate houses, closing on a courtyard in the middle. When standing inside, one sees the Karst-form mountains cascading down on the other side of the valley. This grand, vertical spectacle, is pitifully truncated by the stone wall
